Rob, tremendous job on a the site! It's wonderful to look around. :roll

Thank you so much for giving BOG members a place to come and join together, the start of a great online community, and, hopefully, good new memories.

With gratefulness, appreciation, and warmth,

WONDERFUL job on this website!! Thank you, Rob, and everyone else who has worked so hard to pull all of this together!! I have so enjoyed watching the videos from '78 Europe (for the first time); it brings back so many memories...I believe that as teenagers, most of us did not fully understand or realize what an honor and privilege it was to be a part of the Largo World Band of Gold. This website is a beautiful tribute to the legacy of our "BOSS", Robert R. Cotter, who taught each and every one of us the true meaning of the word, "PRIDE".

So great to have a new BOG site. Man, those memories keep pouring back. I was in the BOG in 79,80. Miss it and miss the BOSS.

Contrary to an earlier article, Aaron Copeland did not show up to direct the Golden Strings Orchestra when we played his pieces...Mr. C, as always, led us on to shine! Take that, AC...!

Other than that...how is everyone? Big hugs all around...we need another reunion!!! :zzz

Boss was so right when he said," Look around someone will always be missing when this group comes together again." Too bad I didn't take those and many other words to heart.
Have learned so many lessons for a second time because I was too young to understan then. Wish everyone well. Look forward to seeing many more posts.

Thanks for putting together the website, Rob. I've been reminiscing for quite some time and now have a place to share the memories.

I'm hoping to meet fellow BoG members and alumni at the Largo Library's Band of Gold exhibit on Sept. 29, 2007. It should be a blast. I'm curious how many members are going to be there.

I also would like to send out a heart felt 'Hello' to all the Suncoast Sound members as well. A lot of us were doing Double Duty as well.

PS...Hello 'Twiggy' ;)

Glad to have found a website for us reminiscer's.
I find myself listenting to the Audio tape that Both Jeff's produced a few years back on a "conversation with the Boss"..It's funny how I have applied those lessons without thinking about them at all,Like they were ingrained into us, through the years in my career and teaching and counseling my children and their friends.

WE didn't realize then how fortunate we really were as teenagers.

I truly to have some great memories of some great people and times at Largo..

Hi. Nice to see some familiar names again. :) [waving happily at Sonia]

My .02 re the reunion? I didn't go to Kirkerade, so I'd feel out of place. (No, really, I would. All the World Band stuff at the last reunion made me feel like a red-headed step-child again. [no offense, Julie ;)] )

Happy holiday(s) of your choice, everybody! Take care!
