Another member of the Band of Gold family has passed away.  Herb Melleney, known by the members as "Uncle Herb," and the community as the "Voice of the Band of Gold"  died on Tuesday evening, October 13, 2009.  There will be a gathering of family and friends at the Anderson McQueen Funeral Home on 9th Street in St. Petersburg on Tuesday, October 20 starting 11:00 AM.  An obituary and feature article will appear in the St. Petersburg Times on Friday, October 16.  In addition, the local FOX affiliate, Channel 13, will air a spot on Herb Melleney during their 5:00 or 6:00 news broadcasts on Friday.
